Scotland Road Trip 2013
September 26, 2013
It started last Monday evening meeting John & Mick at Earlston and a couple of pre trip beers in The Bull before our start on Tuesday morning.
These trips are not really planned just an idea of a direction to head in and a few options and then see where we end up. John offered to do the driving so that was a result and early Tuesday morning we're off to the Clyde near Abington for day one.
Our final itinerary:

We had loads of laughs, loads of fish on various methods ...French leader, nymphs, stimi-nymph and dries and ended up with just under 300 trout between us for the 6 days fishing not bad at all. It was great to get out and just go fishing and of course have a few beers & curries with some mates. Already we have sorted a few destinations for next year. Best grayling 50cm, Best trout lost 3lb a few salmon and sea trout too....Superb.
Thanks Richard for the Aberdeen hospitality and craic ... brilliant.... see you soon.

A fanatical fly fisherman and licensed coach who has been lucky to have fished with some great fishermen in many fantastic places around the world.
The North of England and Scottish Borders are very special places and have some beautiful and fantastic waters to fly fish.
I'm still learning the craft after more than 40years and I hope the flyfishing journey will never end.
