As a member of the Coaching Team for the Angling Trust Talent Pathway another 5 young talented anglers secured places in the England Youth Loch Style Team for next year. Great result for both the kids and their parents.... well done everyone.
Work continues on the development and implementation of the new Elite Angler Development Framework for Angling Trust Team England Fly Fishing to make Team England the No.1 Fly Fishing Nation in the World...exciting stuff.

I managed to gain another Commonwealth Team Silver medal in Devon in June and what a great team ...everyone worked hard for each other, Big respect to Scotland who won the gold and all the other countries from throughout the Commonwealth for their friendship in fishing. Also to all the organisers, helpers and controllers that gave up their time ..BIG respect. and not forgetting the Event Sponsors: Duchy of Cornwall, SW Lakes, Snowbee & Thinkfish for their brilliant support.

Yours truly getting on the bus for the first morning session of the 2014 Commonwealth Fly Fishing Championships

I've got a number of open days and some demos and presentation talks coming up after this week once the Rivers International on the Ure is held this Friday and then the launch of my new brochure before heading off to Norway and Sweden for a couple of weeks. I will be attending and supporting an Open Day arranged with Darlington Anglers on 12 July and will be running a fly fishing clinic and a Tenkara try it session Why not pop along and say hello??. Thanks to TCUK for their support with gear and equipment for the Tenkara "try it" session

A downloadable PDF version of my new brochure is now available on the website by clicking on the link. It includes a really useful Hatch Chart that is worth keeping when planning your fishing trips. I'm in the process of developing some really successful and recommended fly patterns that can be used to match the hatch anywhere in the UK.
Finally many thanks for the excellent support from Elena & Luis at Thinkfish, James and the crew at John Norris of Penrith, Steve at Simms and of course Mike & Brian at Tenkara Centre UK for their continuing help and support in helping The Durham Fly Fishing Company grow.
And because everyone loves pictures ....
