Following interview both myself and Jeff Metcalfe were appointed as Head Coaches for the ADB Talent Pathway (Northern Region: covering Yorkshire, North West & North East).
On Saturday 31st March we had a coaching day with the Juniors at Lockwood Beck in North Yorkshire and a great day they had too with everyone catching fish and a very good rod average. Thanks to Scott Nellins,Graham Robinson, Alan Jenkins and Carl Malpass for their support and boatmanship and of course Gordon Byers of Lockwood for all his help and support.
The plan is to coach these lads up for the England Youth National Final in June on Pitsford and then start the induction and selection process for next year.
All you other Regions better watch out as we have some talented young fly fishers here in the North and this programme is a great opportunity for development.
